hey guys,

first i should probably introduce myself. i'm maria. i'm studying film and photography at napier; last year i was doing my project on bilston glen and this year i decided to do series of portraits of transvestites(of all sexualities)/transsexuals, who are taking part in the Queer Mutiny. The project is called 'free', the only restriction is that i should present people who has something in common. I've been few times at the queer mutiny and i thought that it would be great to portraite people who have different lifes, ideas and are not 'stereotypical' tvs. I would like to take portraits in the home environment, in everyday clothes; the transvestism or transsexualism will be rather the joining point for all the people, than the subject of photographs. I would love to build intimate portraits of individuals.
